In January a training course on good agricultural practices was organised through the Fit For Market SPS programme for 14 small agri-food entrepreneurs and producers in Ghana who are part of The Food Bridge’s network. In early February, the Fit For Market SPS programme held its first training of trainers on “Training and Communication Skills” for the Pacific. Phase 1 of the training focuses on mastering teaching methods, and phase 2 is devoted to digital tools and specific skills needed for distance learning. Four Fijian experts participated in Phase 1. The EU has introduced new legislation to amend plant health rules covering False Codling Moth (FCM, Thaumatotibia leucotreta). The new draft regulation has been submitted to the WTO for a feedback period, period until the 11th April 2022. The date of implementation is not yet known.
