The Fit For Market SPS programme, organised training on hygiene and food safety principles including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) methodology for horticultural companies producing both fresh and processed goods in Sierra Leone. COLEACP organised a remote training course on “Food Safety Quality Management System” for partner companies of the NExT Kenya programme from 26 July to 27 August 2021. Last April, the Unité de Transformation de Fruits et Légumes Tako Sylla (USTAKO), a Malian company exporting dried mangoes, received support from COLEACP’s Fit For Market programme for a review of its food safety management system and capacity building of its technical staff on HACCP principles.
